Official SCRABBLE clubs
Official clubs use NASPA's Official Tournament Rules, tournament grade equipment (rotating deluxe or custom boards, smooth tiles, digital timers) and the Official Tournament and Club Word List. New players are usually given some allowances (e.g., use a preprinted cheat sheet, challenge without penalty) during the first few visits to help them get up to speed with tournament style play.

Directions: From highway 65, take the Galleria Boulevard exit (westbound), take the first mall entrance on the right, turn right onto the mall perimeter road and continue counterclockwise around Macy's. Enter the multilevel parking structure next to Sears, park on the second level, enter the mall via the pedestrian bridge, turn right and walk approximately 100 feet to the dining terrace. We usually sit in the big long table in the middle, next to Pamplona Cafe.

Casual SCRABBLE clubs
Casual clubs generally use the Official Scrabble Players Dictionary, which is edited for home and school use (no dirty words). The use of timers is usually optional.
